A "Baby's" Best Friend

I have posted once about my husband's "baggage" before we got married. That "baggage" is now my little ones best friend. Our first year of marriage this dog ate everything of MINE from shoes, purses and even the Easter Ham. Yes I said Ham. He got it off the counter somehow and ate the whole thing. As many times as I have wanted to get rid of him I am glad we didn't. My little one LOVES this dog. She always hugs him and attempts to give kisses. I used the word attempt because mommy steps in before the slobbery tongue engulfs her face :) This morning I could not peel the two of them from the door. They just sat side by side looking outside both wanting to go out and explore the world.

I can't believe it has already been a year. Yes I was one of those moms who started planning her 1st birthday when she was 5 months old. Even though she wouldn't remember it I wanted her party to be perfect down to the detail. And it was...... Thanks to all my family and friends that came to celebrate this little angel and wonderful gift from God's BIRTH.

I have been MIA from the blog world for some time now. Nothing new except I am now in my 3rd trimester. The July due date is rapidly approaching and I am busy getting things organized. Continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and baby!

This was a hailstorm at my parent's house this summer. The hail itself was about the size of a quarter. It damaged the roof of the cars and even cracked two window panes.

Mid-life crisis at Age 26!!!!

So I believe my husband is going through a mid-life crisis at the age of 26!! The reason I say this is because one Saturday he went a bought a boat!! Yes that is right. I said A BOAT! I thought he was crazy. Now I do appreciate the fact that he wouldn't get it unless I was okay with it. I was very hesitant at first although he did make a good point that if we wait until after we have children then it may be a long time before we could get one. (which I didn't have a problem with!!) But hey...life is too short and you only live once. I said why not. Now after the fact it is said and done.....BOY DO I LOVE IT!!!!!

My dad and I made a pact that we would both give up certain things that we ate/drank too much of. The purpose behind this was to try to lose some weight. Well I gave up desserts of course and he gave up all soft drinks/coffee. We started this on Memorial Day Weekend and our ending date is on July 4th which is four days away. All I can say about this is .....HALLELUJAH!!! I know that Memorial Day to July 4th doesn't seem like a long time but when you eat something everyday you don't realize how hard it is to not eat it until you give it up. I have never craved sweets so much! If you were to stop by my house on any given day I would probably have fresh baked cookies or brownies coming out of the oven. It's a comfort food for me. Well I am so close to the finish line I can taste the calories!!

Throw your dog a birthday "Paw-ty"! Yes, it is true. I sent out invitations to all our friends that had dogs and invited them to a fun day at the Park to get all the dogs tuckered out then back to our house for dinner. We had such a great time and I can't believe my puppy is already 1 Year Old! The birthday girl had so much fun playing with all her dog friends and it was an excuse for us to hang out with our friends too! Someone told me about how you can get a cake made out of dog food but I didn't have time to research to see if my town had that so I just got a regular cake and it was yummy! Thanks Sophie for having a Birthday! Until next year!

Recently I have had the urge to play tennis. Especially since the weather for tank tops is here I need to get rid of the jello arms. I have never played before but I don't think it should be that hard. My husband just chuckled when I walked in from the mall with a racket and really cute tennis outfit. My thoughts when buying them....I don't know what I'm doing but at least I'll look good....wish me luck!

Before we got married my husband had a Boxer that ate everything of mine. But this dog could do nothing wrong in my husband's eyes...of course not because he wasn't destroying HIS stuff. Anyway, after we got married I wanted to have a dog of my own so after waiting two years he got me a puppy for our anniversary. Since we don't have children yet she is my precious baby and every once in a while the boxer gets jealous of the little one so he tries to be "cute" like her to get attention. He gets in denial and thinks he's her size.
